I don’t use a VPN and they are still highly problematic. I get stuck in a cycle, like with cloudflare.
Just commenting to second the allergy, even tho it may not be the issue here. I always had awful reactions over the ~15 years I tried it off and on. Terrible. Not like CHS at all. You’re right, allergy (or something) is a thing. But probably not what OP has (not a doctor).
Maybe to add to this, there may be folks like me who initially joined on things that became problematic or we wanted something “better” and are now on something different, leading to doubles. Not sure if my older accounts (like kbin) would show up but they might.
There are lot of federal jobs that are very lenient on dress. Not public facing? Sometimes lot of options! Public facing? Might have to wear a uniform but the ability to have visible tattoos and piercings is pretty high. Also options for getting into the public sector without a college degree.
I dont think it is helpful to see it as a slur. This is more like “use my words against me” and it works, really well. The right wing folks this is messing with identify as being normal, predictable, sensible, strong, etc. Not weird. So when one of them goes to a donut shop and has their internal record get stuck on “OK, good” it looks abnormal, unpredictable, nonsensical, and perhaps even weak. AKA weird, and we can make them uncomfortable with that.
This is helpful, I haven’t interacted with microblogs since moving to your instance. Thanks!
Maybe it’s because I live in one of the more remote areas of my country, but I never get alerts of any kind. Not much going on here I guess.
Or a H Jon Benjamin instance
Haha hard to take that seriously 🙂 I’m down with that jazz
Late reply since I’ve been in the field - I no longer have to worry about partition space for kernels, that is nice. Using mobile rn but I will look when I get on my computer.
I switched to a Linux OS in '08 and haven’t really paid attention since. I’ve done a little partition work but I’m no superuser… I probably have a UEFI and don’t know it. My days of using the bible are gone haha
I think you just gave me a wedgie because I thought UEFI was the same… But reflecting, I don’t think I have had to use the BIOS since I used Windows 98…
I have had good luck with a vanity that has three doors, each a mirror. Hand motions are in reverse, it’s weird haha. I haven’t benefited from this for a long time, but it got me started. I do, however, cut a mole on the back of my neck sometimes…
They have pretty cool smaller phones, too. Unfortunately they don’t have great antennas for my market.
Haha that and your user name make this great
For sure! I have rented from small landlords who were great and like family and responsive to problems. Be those people if you are a landlord.
Most folks who look at this (economic philosophers?) don’t believe that regular working folks are part of the problem. Having a 401k or even working in an oil field isn’t necessarily being part of the problem. Being an employee of Walmart doesn’t mean someone is objectively a capitalist, they just want to eat and generally survive. I avoid driving, but do, and don’t lose sleep over it.
As a government employee, I have rented from the government (USA) many times over the years. It is a pretty good deal usually. It includes utilities almost always. Sometimes the house is really bad but usually they are ok, and the price per month (they do it by day) is pretty good.
Ideally you can change periodically. But for me, the gloves are better than the alternative! I use hand treatment after work. I have (mild) eczema but don’t generally suffer. You gotta find what works for you!
This is really what it boils down to. I never had this issue as a mechanic, but I didn’t generally use pinch welds as a jack point. Most vehicles have numerous options for using a floor jack. You could use a control arm, or cross member, or sometimes a drivetrain component. Additionally, sometimes the pinch weld has a designated spot for jacking that seems to be reinforced.
Maybe what you are saying only applies to newer vehicles and I am out of date. Totally possible! I did not experience this 10+ years ago, tho. Only on exceptionally rusty cars that the driver would be challenged to install thr spare on the side of the road.
