2·10 days agoI don’t think “decentralised” is the word y’all are disagreeing on. Define platform. Because I think the “platform” you’re talking about is the technology underpinning Bluesky (AT Protocol), which is decentralised, and others here are talking about the Bluesky “platform” itself, as in the service which is a single, centralised implementation of AT Protocol.

2·11 days agoOni had such a cool combat system! There aren’t enough single-player action games with this type of combat depth IMO. This video (YouTube link) does a great job explaining it in detail.

And I had the same experience with Endless Sky when I first found out about it some years ago. It has gotten a lot of updates since then, but I am holding out for a 1.0 release

3·20 days agoArcade version only, I think. You chose a character and one of three factions, and then fought your eight matches against CPU versions of other players’ chosen characters. The CPU difficulty was based on the performance of the character’s player, and I think there was even some variation in the AI depending on the player’s habits. Likewise, your own character would be in the system for other players to fight.
Anyway, each faction controlled territory on a map based on its players’ overall W/L ratio, and it looked something like the image in the OP.
Anyone else remember Soul Calibur 2 Conquest mode?
