Piss off your local conservatives by telling them you support an organization that takes unskilled workers and gives them free housing, free healthcare, job training, cheap mortgages, and tax-advantaged income. When they start going on about how that sounds like some “commie bullshit” reveal that you’ve just described the US military. Your mileage (kilometerage?) may vary in countries with a functional healthcare system
I had a similar experience, took a friend in for about a year after he lost his job. He just spiraled deeper into depression, I burned a ton of social capital trying to get him out of the house to make friends. He spray painted things on my patio without putting down a drop cloth, broke things inside the house, constantly complained about how crappy or small my house was, while never paying a penny towards it. He was just constantly grumpy and rude, and was completely shocked when I asked him to move out. He kept saying how it was good for him to live with me and just couldn’t conceive that it was awful for me.
We’ll start by giving them back your house
Yes and no; technically they’re an independent entity but they’ve been used as useful idiots by Russian intelligence so many times at this point they’re effectively Russian
Cars catch a lot of hate, often for valid reasons, but I’ve never seen people doing this stuff in my car at least

Read up dipshit, they specifically murdered people because they were offended by cartoons of their prophet. The murderers themselves cited their religion as motivation. Go on, explain to me how that wasn’t really what they’re upset about, I’ll wait.
Phobia is an irrational fear. Being afraid of extremists who want to brutally murder you for drawing a cartoon is perfectly rational.
I understand the level of willpower is different, I have an eating disorder myself. But the fact remains it is something that can be willed. Changing myself to be a different race or sexual orientation isn’t a willpower issue, it’s simply impossible. Hence why the comparison in this tweet is ridiculous.
Badly copy (see Gemini)
Tf are you smoking dude, Google has been working on AI long before ChatGPT was a twinkle in Sam Altman’s eye. They didn’t release any public models because they wanted to go about it safely and not just dump the world’s best misinformation creator on the open market for anyone to use with little safeguards. All that went out the window when ChatGPT got all the press and google decided they wanted a piece of the hype, but pretending they “didn’t do any innovation of their own” in regards to AI is ludicrous. They have been at the forefront of AI development for the last decade, and the fact you think otherwise shows your only knowledge about AI is from after ChatGPT headlines started coming out.
Obese people acting like they can’t control it is precisely why they’re obese. It’s vile to discriminate against someone for their height, race, sexual orientation, and other factors because they have no control or choice over those things. But if someone makes a bad choice that negatively affects their own health and others around them, it’s acceptable to tell that person it’s unsafe. Shaming them is ineffective, but just pretending being obese is normal and healthy isn’t ok either. These folks need help.
Don’t even start with me on thyroid disorders, those are a small fraction of people who are obese and even they do not defy basic laws of thermodynamics. Eat less than you burn, it’s basic math. You may not be able to control the disorder but you are in control of how you respond to it.
I’m gonna go drop the kids off at the pool
I use the phrase diversity is strength all the time, and I don’t give a shit what color someone is. My team can be identical skin tones but I want people with different perspectives and backgrounds which leads to them having different subconscious filters. My field is information analysis and if you have the same subconscious filter as me you’re useless to me, I might as well ask myself what I think. I need people who are different than me to bounce ideas off of, none of us have the whole picture. It’s extra noticeable in my field but applies everywhere else as well.
I saw a similar ad in theaters this week, it started by asking Gemini to write a breakup letter and I thought my friend next to me was going to cry because she’s going through a breakup but then right at the end it goes “…to my old phone, because the Pixel 9 is just so cool!”
Gemini is awesome, I use it all the time for applied algebra and coding but using it to replace human emotions is not awesome. Google can do better
This article is a great example of the post hoc fallacy; it’s more likely that people anxious about their heart condition are purchasing wearable monitors at an elevated rate compared to the rest of the population

Ok, show us all the free PT content you’ve made without getting paid. What’s that, you can’t pay your rent with PeerTube views, you need a real job you say? Well that’s why there’s no content, creators need to eat too.
Maybe don’t be a little baby who breaks things in a fit of rage. Next time you feel like taking your anger out on physical object, simply don’t. Breaking something, feeling bad about it, and learning from the experience is an important part of growing up.
Some guy at bitwarden clicks a button wrong on a license drop-down option and all these people crawl out of the woodwork to declare the end of bitwarden being trustworthy. Nothing in the article or the company’s statements indicates an actual move away from open source. Big nothingburger
