I had issues getting kernel versions on Debian seeing hard drives back when it got bad in the 2010’s (which is why I switched to Fedora, which was what I used as my primary distro before Debian). For experimental purposes, I’d try something with bleeding edge driver support like Fedora, not even to install, just to see if it sees the drive. I’ve even seen issues with kernel v various hardware things on Ubuntu/Mint v Fedora. I am currently very mad at Fedora because 40 is ass, and I’m having PTSD about Debian getting bad (I do hear it gud now) so I’m in no way recommending Fedora rn, but it will see the hardware if it’s a nonproprietary driver newness issue

Just look at the shifts in polling on the police or immigration. The timing is AFTER the DNC joins the GOP position because 70% if not more of dems are “blue no matter who” voters who just take on the policy positions the party dictates to them. The DNC chose “become the GOP circa 2000” as their strategy this cycle, and don’t really have a choice but to execute on that as best they can at this point, and just hope nobody under 50 or male votes.

Not a car I personally owned, but I knew someone with a 2010’s Audi (don’t know what year/model) where the trunk lock was always broken in a way they couldn’t repair, the fuel gauge had a mysterious not working issue for like a year plus, the windows didn’t work, and the transmission, while automatic, would stall out on you like a manual if it was hot out, just stranding you in traffic. And this was a new lease FROM Audi, not like a used lemon.
