In this case, yes. These criticisms are literally Nazi propaganda.

Again, not any worse than any other country of the time.
Healthy people want to live in peace, but also recognize when is the time to fight for that peace.
No, I don’t give critical support to Israel because they are a settler colonial project who, along with the US and other Western powers, started all of the troubles in the Middle East in the first place.
No critical support for imperialists.
If I learned anything from the 2024 election it’s that we must unequivocally support the lesser evil. Since Israel attacked first (and is actively committing genocide), that means Iran is the lesser evil and therefore they are perfect and not supporting them means you support genocide. /s
Well according to the Democrats, I should always support the lesser of two evils, so now Iran is good. /s
For real though, it’s called critical support. You can support Iran’s right to defend against genocide while simultaneously criticizing their human rights abuses.
All I see are terrorists.
Has been for the last 80 years.
All I want is a party by and for the people.
Sounds like you’d be interested in Marxism then.
Yes, I understand the history, and I’m saying that all of those undeclared wars were a breach of the intention of the constitution to make the decision to go to war the purview of Congress.
It’s like all the other unwritten expectations of behavior that were never actual codified because the founders assumed politicians would be good people.
And now we have Trump who ignores every social more in the book and has shown that we really can’t leave good behavior down to “expectations.”
Why do you let them set the narrative that a precedent of wrongdoing legitimizes future trespasses?
Israel is a prominent member of the global western capitalistic hegemony, and they are escalating tensions with their genocide and attack on Iran. I wouldn’t say they’re the only ones responsible, but they do share a large portion of the blame.
Wow thanks for the detailed write up. Can’t lie, it’s pretty annoying constantly having pro-communist or anti-capitalist comments removed by the lemmy.world mods for “misinformation.”
I disagree. terrorism and accelerationism are not needed and do more harm than good. The idea that you can just commit political violence and solve your problems is too tempting to angry people, who then believe that the actually successful tactics like organizing are not necessary. It’s taking the easy way out and usually just turns more people against you.
Of course, violence to protect people from the violence of the fascists is entirely acceptable and to be lauded.
Uneducated ramblings about horseshoe theory have entered the chat…
Then there’s me, who joined .world because it was the largest, is a Marxist, but has no idea how to even switch instances or access .ml where I would like to be 😂
Absolutely, but many people do not have the time luxury to read dense theory books, and (good) podcasts can at least get people acquainted with the ideas.
Also, (and I’m putting words in your mouth, so sorry for that) I think it’s a fallacy to say that every comrade must be a theory scholar. Certainly our leaders and organizers should be, but I think it’s fine if people don’t have the academic inclination and want to contribute in other ways.
For all the people talking about Vaush and Hasan and their controversies, realize that there are other folks out there where you can learn about theory without the Twitch brainrot. The Revolutionary Left podcast is my personal favorite.
Nah, he was always blaming the Dems. The first tweet says there wasn’t a leak because the Dems didn’t know- implying that if they had known, then it would have leaked.
The second one is him confirming what he already thought based on Trump’s accusation.
