My guess is they will be compartmentalized to their own unit(s), with dual speakers coordinating with Russian units/leadership. Though, like you say, there probably aren’t very many of those, so these units will be particularly at risk if their rare dual speaker gets taken out. They could probably mitigate this a bit by having dual speakers in safer locations one tier up the command chain.
This all assumes they will be in front-line roles. It is possible they will get assigned to safer duties, freeing up Russian soldiers to go to the front.
It’s good these are being made. One of the big downsides of the traditional cruise missile are they are expensive. Which means making them at industrial scale burns though quite a few resources. In many cases, having 10x-20x lower capability drones will do the job better.
Obviously you still want the high-capability cruise missiles for more difficult targets. But it’s very good the west is producing the cheaper ones in volume too!
This is really more of a [email protected] question. But, to answer it, no, you will need a friend willing to trade with you or an exchange service to do an exchange. Side note, they want ID info from you because there are tax implications when you sell capital goods. After a threshold, they report those capital sales to your government’s tax office.
Realistically, one would just dig down half a foot, break up the concrete, cut the post, then backfill the dirt. Put any new post you need a foot to the side. No reason to remove the boulder.
Supply and demand! Everyone went to college and is looking for white collar jobs, thus there is a labor shortage in the construction/contracting industry that is leading to rising prices. Getting a job in the trades is pretty solid right now.
I don’t have a number for you, but get 2-3 quotes. Labor is expensive, it’s going to be your main cost here, not materials.
Basically every quote I have gotten for anything has been a much higher number than I would have liked by a good margin. Been doing more and more stuff myself as a result. If you get sticker shock at your quotes, a fence replacement is very much so in the realm of something you can do yourself.
People pay good money for that ‘junk’. A quality internet connection basically anywhere in the world, including at sea and in very remote areas, is far from junk.
If you find a way to launch rockets without chemical propulsion, please share it with the world. Until then, I’m going to be happy to hear we continue to make strides into the final frontier.
Also, nobody is stopping you from buying and burning as much fuel as you like. You have to pay for each gallon of course, but there are no monthly quotas at the pump.
That is darn cool! And it makes the booster lighter, as it doesn’t need the giant legs to land on.
I have had no issues with desktop apps with AMD integrated graphics. Tried 150%, 175%, and 200% scaling. Running Mint with Cinnamon.
Games will sometimes run at 100%, though. Making their text tiny.
Yeah, that does seem odd. Maybe Iran doesn’t have enough lift capacity for either the volume or size of the satellites?
All of Russia’s numbers are getting increasingly poor. They certainly aren’t out of the fight yet, but it is clear they are getting ground down to a nub of their former selves.
Also I would recommend looking into Debian, the software may be a tad bit old but its the most stable distribution
I daily drive Mint, which is in the Debian family. Highly recommend it as it is geared for a ‘works out of the box’ experience for people. And the default UI (Cinnamon) is very familiar to Windows users. Complete with a task bar, tray, and searchable start menu.
Pure Debian is more of a server OS, and not something one should recommend as a daily driver. It’s not deficient in that, but it takes a fair bit of work to get it up and running for daily use.
Just want to add that most games just work on Linux now. Valve has done some amazing work on this front. The Steam deck, or really any gaming PC with Steam, are perfectly good gaming boxes. Check out Proton DB if you want game-specific info.
It will, however, add more users to the critical mass that has previously prevented Linux from being mainstream. Already we are seeing more and more software adoption. The average Facebook/word processor user can use Linux with no issues. And the average gamer can use Linux with minimal problems as well. Hell, the dominant PC gaming handheld runs Linux, not Windows. That itself is damning.
This was not the case 10 years ago, and it is clear what path is being forged.
This is one of the reason I like Framework laptops. Not only are they user serviceable/repairable, but they also don’t force you to pay extra for a Windows license. Hell, they even sell motherboard upgrades if you want to turn you older Framework laptop into the newest one.
Damn, those hits just keep coming, and the loaded trucks are quite visceral, too.
Why wouldn’t it cook a non-bread?
I’m not sure what cookware you have, but it sounds like you may be pretty limited on choices/space. I would highly recommend swapping the vertical toaster for a toaster oven. As they are basically little ovens that you can cook almost anything in, including toast and hotdogs.
If you are talking about the vertical style bread toaster, don’t cook anything that isn’t bread in those. If you are talking about a toaster oven, you can wrap it in foil and bake it.
A solid alternative, and what makes a hotdog’s flavor really pop, is cutting it into 6-10 pieces and pan frying it.
There are jobs that take weeks to learn, jobs that take years to learn, and there are even jobs that take a decade+ to learn. You ain’t putting the three-week old newbie in the latter two roles.
