Fed Chair Powell sees progress on inflation, though not quickly enough

The Fed’s move to leave its benchmark rate at about 5.1%, its highest level in 16 years, suggests that it believes the much higher borrowing rates it’s engineered have made some progress in taming inflation.

    Mitigate inflation or protect banks from melting down from bond valuations… Looks like we’ll be living with inflation a bit longer.

      At this point, considering all the tomfoolery that’s occurred. It’s probably the best after we have painted our selves into a corner.
