2 x 2 x 4 = 16 trips a month is $672 a month on taxi’s for that commute. A commute that is infrequent, and less than half the distance to the city from our suburb.
Yes that is before other car costs, but other trips too
Tbh, I was more thinking about the $2600/m guy at the end when I posted that, rather than the comparatively more economical situations.
Assuming he also needs to pay a non-significant amount on insurance, (maybe) road tax and definitely fuel on top of that—surely that can’t be economical unless he’s driving many hours a day, every day.
