      it’s happened, for sure, but in far lower incidence than public schools.

      I honestly wouldn’t make the distinction, but you do have to admit the number (frequency) and impact (number killed) on the private school side is far, far below public schools (and that makes sense considering the proportions).

      as a home schooling family we consider both gorvernment & parochial schools still public schools, because they are out in public.

          do you have a better term to cover Parochial and government schools as one seperate from homeschools?

            Anytime you say “school” without “home” or “online” it means a building people go to. The original gets naming rights, the others have to distinguish themselves.

                In fairness, people were much more communal than society is now. And there’s a bunch of stuff that we did for most of human history that is no longer the norm. Even something simple as a “phone” no longer means what it used to.

                I think you’re gonna have to take the L that a “school” by default is not at home in the modern world.

                Public school are schools run/funded by the public (the government)

                Private schools are run/funded by private businesses.

                These are schools.

                No one refers to your home schooling as a “school”. We refer to what you’re doing as home schooling.
