While I agree with you, there is definitely a large set of the population who spiral without a consistent schedule. And for some it gives them a responsibility they have to attend to rather than drinking/drugs/wasting away. To each their own, but it does help some folks.
That’s why I’ve always wanted to try a light that turns on meaning feeding time for the dogs. I wonder if it would help with stuff like this or, getting them to sleep in and not whine for breakfast at 5am.

I haven’t read this study, but I’ve heard most people tend to be their happiest after their kids move out, and near retirement. You have more time to do the things you want, have more ‘extra’ cash than before, and are still in decent health. Obviously this is on average and varies by person.
