Anytime I see “unlocking value,” I know that either a bot wrote it, or some MBA that’s selling widgets.

Translation: “We don’t listen to well informed input from our longtime employees and customers but we’ll train a bot to parrot our own ideas back at us”

Because lets be realistic these bots will be trained on data from MBA graduates not people who actually work in the industries being consulted on.

Lol this is a good one. I love my LLMs but this is it. The problem is most people don’t even think at all anyway. Most of the time I don’t either. If we’re honest with ourselves, we’re still just barely advanced apes.

I don’t get marketing. The more gets shoved the father I retreat and ignore. I’ll let em run on YouTube sometimes just so the advertiser has to pay out the fraction of a penny on a wasted ad. Actually, how about we do this!

Let’s build software that goes around watching ads constantly so it makes their numbers go all to hell.

Erm…yes? There is obviously a rush to integrate the latest generative AI tools in everything without thinking about the consequences of it’s failure modes.

The term is generic, good and bad. I’m my work a consultant is someone with years of experience in a very specific field.

The term is an actual job. “I’m” your work, that person is being paid to tell you what to do and not do the job they have years of experience in. Not sure what your field is, but your understanding of a job that you do not do is lacking.

Surprised consultants are pushing the latest fad? No it’s what businesses want to hear.

Concerned they’re pushing the bubble? No more than the rest of it.

Worried a machine will be lying to me about timelines instead of a person? That’s innovation for you I guess.
